We > Ultrarich exists to make the scale of extreme wealth — and the inequality it represents — easily comprehensible, shareable, and a spur to action. This page covers what the tool is, who we are, why we built it, where we stand, and why you can trust our numbers.

What is We > Ultrarich?

We > Ultrarich is a non-commercial tool that presents billionaire and trillionaire fortunes in tangible expressions and personalized comparisons. Wealth is expressed through four lenses — Daily Spending, Physical Size, Purchasing Power, and Compound Interest — and each result is rendered as a shareable color-coded card with a scale reference when an appropriate one is available.

Designed from the outset for both human and agent reuse, We > Ultrarich has a free, no-auth, computation-only API + MCP server that answers questions like "How much is a billion (or trillion) dollars, really?" with ready-to-quote figures, sentences, and them-vs-you ratios. It's built for public use: every result it returns is free for any purpose, including commercial, and licensed CC BY 4.0. There's no paywall or ads. It's read-only, rate limited, doesn't collect any user data, and has only basic privacy-first analytics. All results from our MCP server embed attribution. Who are we, and why did we create We > Ultrarich?

We are not ultrarich. We’re regular folks who, despite taking years of advanced math in university or having ready access to a calculator, can’t truly grasp how much a billion is (let alone 750B or 1T). We’d see one of those ridiculously large numbers in a meme, article, or video and try to figure out how much money that was (and how much more it was than what we have) — but inevitably would somehow always lose track of one or more of the zeros.

This site started as a spreadsheet (to help track all those f’n zeros). Then, after a few calculations, we began to realize just how big the wealth gap is between what we and the ultrarich have. It’s HUGE! Huge isn’t even a big enough word to describe that gap, it’s ENORMOUS! And, when one considers the wealth of any of the individuals in the Top 20 of the Forbes World’s Billionaires list, that gap is TRULY OBSCENE!

We told a few friends and family members about what we learned, and all of them were shocked the wealth gap was that big. A few needed or wanted to see a different flavor of comparison to help them grasp the numbers. Next thing we knew, we had a handful of different comparisons.

Sometimes, thinking about extreme wealth inequality made us feel infuriated, powerless, and disheartened. When that happened, we reminded ourselves that just because billionaires have way way way more money than us (and in some cases more than the populations of one or many entire countries combined), that doesn’t mean they’re better than us. A bank balance measures what someone has, not what they're worth as a human being. And when extreme wealth is used to buy political influence, dodge taxes, crush competition, and/or drown out everyone else's voice, that behavior deserves scrutiny and pushback — no matter who's doing it. That's when the ideas for We > Ultrarich started to take shape.

TL;DR — This is our passion-project, hand-crafted by Blonde Rocket Scientist LLC. It's our way of helping the general public grasp the size of a billion/trillion dollars, and most notably to comprehend the extreme inequality in wealth that exists today between regular folks like us and the ultrarich. No matter the bank balances, we are greater than the ultrarich. We hope you'll spread the word.

Why can you trust We > Ultrarich?

Everything is transparent and verifiable — that's the whole point.

• An identifiable maker behind it (Blonde Rocket Scientist LLC), not an anonymous source.
• Our formulas, sources, and methodology are transparent. Our FAQ contains the four top-level formulas and two U.S. money-thickness constants. Our API and its documentation (OpenAPI Specification & README.md) contain additional currencies, prices, enum mappings, response rules, formatting behavior, and scale logic so anyone can verify the numbers or build on the results.

How is We > Ultrarich different from other wealth visualizers and comparisons?

Other wealth visualizers tend to tell one powerful, fixed story. We built reusable infrastructure for telling yours.

• Computed on demand, not frozen in time. Most wealth visualizations are one-off editorial pieces whose figures quietly age in place. Ours are parameterized — choose from four comparison types and specify up to two exact wealths — and calculated live from figures we actively refresh with major data releases (Forbes Billionaires List, Federal Reserve SCF, etc.).
• Ready to republish, not just view. Every result is both a shareable card and a citable, ready-to-quote sentence, licensed CC BY 4.0 — free to reuse anywhere, including commercially, with one line of credit. Authoritative sources find the number; we express its human scale.
• Built for humans and AI agents alike. A public no-auth API, OpenAPI spec, MCP server, and llms.txt files mean assistants and developers get the same deterministic, attributed results people do — a combination we haven't found anywhere else in this space.

Where do we stand?

We advocate for reducing extreme wealth inequality, and we say so plainly. The numbers themselves are computed from cited public sources with published formulas — so you can use our API and MCP server for neutral numeracy work, or make the comparison tool's framing part of your discussion.
